Another lockdown means... more films! Second time being in lockdown is overwhelming, especially when it's not certain that it will end on 2nd December 2020. However, after the news of a potential vaccine for COVID-19, we are putting our faith in Boris!

Meanwhile, here are the best sporting films you must watch:

1. The Gabby Douglas Story (2014)

This film is about the sensational gymnast, Gabby Douglas and her journey in becoming the first African-American to become individual all-around champion in artistic gymnastics at the 2012 Olympic Games. This film is truly inspirational and a beautiful story. Gabby has sacrificed a huge deal to be in the position she is in now.

2. Coach Carter (2005)

This has got to be one of the most inspirational, heartfelt, meaningful sporting films of all time. The message behind this film is incredible and didn't have a typical 'happy ending'. The ending is realistic, which means more due to what the players go on to pursue in the future. Basketball fans, this is definitely for you and anyone who loves an inspirational film! It focuses on the importance of education as well as basketball; the statistics and the expectations in high school.

3. The Blind Side (2009)

This is another emotional film... I'm not trying to make you cry I promise! But the best films are always the emotional ones! This film is about a family who adopts a homeless boy by helping him in life and giving him the opportunity to improve on his talent in American football. This film is truly heart warming and shows what true humanity really is. I don't want to give too much away! So, your going to have to have to trust me and watch it!

4. Bend it like Beckham (2002)

This feel-good classic is funny and will definitely make you smile. It's about a young girl who's passion is to be a professional footballer but her traditional parents want her to be grounded and settled. The acting is great and shines a light on current issues in society.

5. Soul Surfer (2011)

This is another incredible film which is actually based on a true story about a surfer, Bethany Hamilton, who tragically lost her arm due to a shark attack and still continued to surf after the incident. She is an inspiration and a dedicated surfer with a fearless mindset and immense amounts of bravery.
